Martyn Smith

Managing Director

Martyn Joined Protec in July 2004 having spent 20 years previously within the Aviation maintenance industries. He was instrumental in Protec being awarded 2 Queen’s Awards for International Trade in 2013 and 2018 being invited to Buckingham Palace on each occasion and meeting Her Majesty the Queen and HRHPrince Charles. He enjoys playing golf (Badly) and traveling, married to Sharon for 37 yrs. Martyn has 2 Children and 1 Grandson. He is season ticket holder at Fratton Park (Portsmouth FC) and enjoys his Saturday afternoons attending games with his son.

Malcolm Roberts

Finance Director

Malcolm was one of the founding Directors of Protec Technical and has been with the company ever since.

Prior to Protec Malcolm spent the first 20 years of his career in the Royal Navy as a Weapon Engineer followed by 6 years as a consultant operating within the defence industry before founding Protec in 2003. He now operates as the Finance Director.

Malcolm is married to Liz and has 2 grown up children and 2 grandchildren. Keen on the outdoor life Malcolm spends time in the summer sailing on the Solent or walking his dog along the local beaches, or when time permits climbing mountains in the Lake District or Scottish Highlands.

Ryan Sweetman

Business Development Manager

I have been recruiting within the aviation industry since 2012 and joined Protec Technical in October 2018. My focus is on developing Protec’s existing client relationships and developing fresh new business opportunities for Protec Technical. In my spare time I enjoy playing Golf (Badly, but better than the boss {please don’t tell him}) and follow Arsenal FC (More fool me)

Neilsen Wallis

Operations Manager

I started working in the aviation industry in 2006 with Protec Technical before relocating overseas for a number of years.

Having returned to England there was only ever going to be one company I would return to within aviation and that is Protec Technical as the brand has a high reputation in the market and I am delighted to return for a second term and this time as the Operations Manager overseeing a professional and dedicated team.

When I am not working I enjoy watching West Ham and have visited many grounds in England to watch them.

Business Development and Account Manager

Lisa started her career as an Administrator in a Recruitment Business in 1997, working in the Aviation sector.

She is a highly experienced Business Development & Recruitment Manager with over 26 years’ experience in Commercial Partnerships at a Senior Level, encompassing Sales, Business & Staff Management

What Lisa really enjoys about her role is building long-lasting relationships, at all levels.

In Lisa’s spare time she enjoys City breaks with her daughter, home cooking and interior design
