Project Manager

 

  • Full & direct responsibility of projects being delivered on time, on cost & on quality and the supervision and spot checks of construction projects.  Will be able to liaise with all facilities management stakeholders and multi-functional team members to develop and deliver a project through the project lifecycle 

  • Approx. 6-12 projects at one time, ranging from £1000 to £100,000

  • Experience within a similar role is essential & experience of having dealt with similar sized projects is a must – someone coming from a larger organisation and having dealt with larger scaled projects may not find this as challenging

  • Ideal qualifications NEBOSH, CIBSE, BIFM or other relevant industrial certification

  • 35 hours per week – hours of department are usually 7.45am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday, 7.45am to 11.45am Fridays – these are dependent upon the projects being worked on and flexibility will be needed as part of the role

     

     

    Specific Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the project team members to ensure compliance to SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) Target Conditions

  • Ensure all project issues are properly reported via escalations to the Team Leader and reported back through the SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) start of shift

  • Engage in the undertaking of building condition and service delivery surveys to support future investment planning that maintains site development and life cycle forecasting

  • Be responsible for change / variation process control and liaise with QS and team members to ensure compliance to the approved budget and specification to secure and optimize the commercial position of the company.

  • Develop business cases with full cost benefit analysis to enable an unambiguous request for funding

  • Undertake a Lessons Learnt workshop with the team when the project fails to meet the agreed standards or target conditions or when specific needs arise
