Airworthiness and Safety Compliance Engineer


12 months      

£350 per day.


Able and willing to undergo security clearance.  


Essential Skills and Experience

You must have excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills to be able to present reasoned safety arguments to stakeholders at all levels.

You must have a degree in engineering or in a related technical subject, preferably in an aerospace discipline; ideally you will be a Chartered Engineer.

You must have substantial experience of a full spectrum of safety engineering tasks in an aerospace system design, certification and/or operating environment covering both software and hardware and including the design and implementation of safety and environment management systems.

You must have a demonstrable knowledge of up-to-date military and civilian safety engineering standards and practices and their application to complex system design and operation, preferably in the aerospace domain.


Desirable Skills and Experience

A post-graduate safety engineering qualification, preferably at masters level.

Experience in dealing directly with Aviation Authorities

Competence in the use of key safety engineering tools and techniques including Bow Tie Analysis.

Experience with RPAS, preferably in safety engineering.

An ability to innovate safety solutions against tight system performance criteria.

Knowledge of the certification and regulatory landscape affecting RPAS now and in the future.

A technical audit qualification

UAV experience
