Job Title: Managing Director
Reports to: Group Chief Executive

Managing the day-to-day activities of the client company, in accordance with agreed Board directives and budgets.

Main Responsibilities:
Airworthiness Authority Accountable Management post-holder.

Manage our client's maintenance hangar, in line with internal and external procedures and requirements.

Develop and implement continuous improvement and enhanced maintenance techniques within the hangar.

Ensure Group health and safety policy is adhered to.

Agree business development and sales activities with Business Development Director.

In conjunction with Airfield Operations Manager ensure airfield activities and requirements are met and adhered to in accordance with company Senior Management directives and BAL contractual terms.

To authorise quotations and purchase orders and sign cheques upto specified maximum limits.

To authorise staff holidays and absence.

To undertake staff probation clearance and appraisals.

To ensure that H&S matters are effectively managed by close liaison with the Health and safety Manager.

To ensure effective liaison with the HR provider with regard to all personnel, grievance and disciplinary issues.

Any other duties commensurate with the tasks and responsibilities of the job.
 

Skills and Experience required:

Skills and abilities

Enthusiastic and innovative self-starter with excellent communication skills.

The ability to manage and communicate with a team of 30+ administrative, trained and semi skilled staff within various workshop areas.

Use initiative and judgement to solve problems independently within the constraints of Company and Board policies and procedures

Have the commercial acumen to progress ongoing and future projects and to develop new business

Experience

10 Years Management in Aerospace maintenance environment

Experience of Project Management Techniques

Knowledge and use of IT based Maintenance and planning applications

Acceptable to the CAA as a Form 4 Holder

Education/Qualifications


BSc (Aeronautical Engineering or Maintenance Management) or equivalent HND

Professional membership of recognised institution such as RAes

Salary: Excellent executive package
