Purpose:
To generate electrical designs and installation from Customer or OEM
specifications in conjunction with mechanical design groups
Responsibilities:
To develop electrical designs which meet all customer and airframe
specifications: -
Aircraft interfaces
Quality fit for purpose
DFM, QFD
Minimalisation of complexity and improve Maintainability
To support the development of lighting schemes & the incorporation
into the “mechanical” design criteria.
To be aware of the financial impact the design and changes to that
design generates.
To be able to read either specifications, drawings and other data in
an accurate fashion and interpret that information and incorporate
that information into the design.
To work accurately to defined time frames.
Have the ability to represent the company at either the Customer,
OEM or other Premium locations.
Ensure that any design complies with the regulatory body certifying
the product.
To be an active participant in the promotion of a working culture
that is not separated by departments but actively works as a team.
Skills and
Experience required:
ICAD based design package experience gained
within the Aviation industry, e.g. Anvil, CATIA
Experience of Aircraft electrical installations.
Experience of working at Customer locations
Good experience of aerospace designs and applications.
Other:
Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and abroad,
sometimes at short notice and extended periods.
