Prominent Aerospace Company have an opening for a
Snr Mechanical Designer.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1.To carry out and/or control an assigned task or project, from
instigation through to completion, in either a Focal or lead
design/certification role, in accordance with Company procedures.
2.The tasking, supervision and motivation of both permanent and
sub-contract staff assigned to the same project as he/she may be
involved with or Focal for, as required.
3.To initiate and attend design reviews and progress meetings, and
liaise with the customer, interfacing departments, sub-contractors
or suppliers as required.
4.To exercise responsibility as an authorised design signatory for
all civil and military documentation.
Skills and
Experience required:
Essential
EDUCATION
HNC/HND in appropriat
subjects.
Engineering Apprenticeship
(preferably aeronautical).
EXPERIENCE
Should have a minimum of 10 years mechanical design experience in
the aerospace industry, with a working knowledge of a recognised CAD
system.
An understanding and experience of current civil aerospace
certification requirements, and in
particular, EASA Part 2 Subpart J & M.
A detailed understanding of Military Design as appropriate to a DAOS
approval.
Previous experience as a CVE and Military design signatory.
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
Must be a team player with good
communication skills, and be self motivated, disciplined, and have
proven supervisory skills.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a basic security clearance in order to be cleared to
work on our MoD accredited
CAD Network.
